You're absolutely right about all of it, and so many of us can relate. Hopefully you'll find some great ways to get out and about. I was pretty housebound (by choice) for the first year, and although it's a lot of work, it's nice to know that we now have places to go and people to see (translate- other moms for me to talk to). We don't have the money for classes, but enjoy lots of free activities like storytimes and drop in playgroups at local churches. And we just bought a multipass at Together in Motion ($69 for 14 visits, so roughly $2.50 per kid per visit).

The SAHM role has it's challenges, but it really sounds like you're doing a great job. Hang it there! More fun is just around the corner.reanbeanhttp://www.reanbean.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5202114547674726101.post-32374521800309443962010-01-12T18:39:11.807-05:002010-01-12T18:39:11.807-05:00p.s. some video action here would be nice!! especi...p.s. some video action here would be nice!! especially w/a post titled "toddling times two"! come onnnn now! :)Fav Auntiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10125413332919937037noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5202114547674726101.post-26267009707066110632010-01-12T13:30:53.928-05:002010-01-12T13:30:53.928-05:00Your right. But then, I leave them for just an hour, and I can't wait to see them again. Its all about finding balance. The summer is so much better for SAHM's. :)Christinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03133112426691403173noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5202114547674726101.post-83297408022336672462010-01-12T13:23:42.802-05:002010-01-12T13:23:42.802-05:00omg i just noticed how big the twins are on the li...omg i just noticed how big the twins are on the little age tracker thingy! haha theyre huuuuge :) like my babies!Fav Auntiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10125413332919937037noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5202114547674726101.post-16429407722870356302010-01-12T13:08:38.947-05:002010-01-12T13:08:38.947-05:00Congrats on the toddling. You're right, I look...Congrats on the toddling. You're right, I look back at photos of my two and think, "Yes, they were walking, but they were still babies!!!" They were certainly more like their baby selves at 11 months than their current toddler selves, even if they were walking.

I don't think everyone would use a "perfect" solution. There's no one size fits all. Stay at home parenthood wouldn't work for either my husband or for me, and our family is better off for recognizing that off the bat. Missing Jessie's first step is FAR outweighed by the patience that getting away to my grown-up job buys me. Honestly, I wouldn't want the stay-at-home version of me to raise our kids!

There are other parents for whom working outside the home is unimaginable. It takes all types, and slowly adjusting to the idea that my daughters may choose a different path than I did.Sadiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04042551936789254047noreply@blogger.com
