Seven Clown Circus hosts Wordful Wednesday. Hop on over to check out some other Hump Day stories.
Yesterday empowered me to finally try it: a nap with no swaddle. And it worked. I cannot believe it, but it did. I used these cute sleeper blankets that have sleeves, not that I think it makes a difference, I just don't want their little arms to be cold. After an hour, I went in to peek at Collette and she was still fast asleep. Here is the proof:
What an angel!!
A few minutes later, I checked on Sebastian and he had just woken up. So, they both got a little over and hour long nap with no swaddle. A true success, in my book. I will be going for it again tomorrow since my mom will be around to help out. And then we can do it all weekend with Daddy comes home tomorrow. Hurrah! The week is almost over...so far, so very good!
Awww, your little ones are so cute!! I miss when mine were that little!
ReplyDeleteOh I totally remember the days of swaddling! Can you believe that we had to swaddle two of my kiddos until they were 6 months old?? I thought they'd go off to college needing to be swaddled! I remember feeling so relieved (like you) when they could finally sleep without being all wrapped up!
Thanks for the follow....I'm following you now too!
Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteThat is great! Btw, I have a MilkMaid on order to help feed Colin since he no longer wants to eat in his boppy...he insists on sitting in his bouncy chair. Go figure.
ReplyDeleteI love those little sleeping sacs! Only one of my babies really liked swaddling and by 2 weeks none of them wanted to.
