Half a year gone by. Yikes! Some days I feel like we are finally hitting our stride and others I feel like I can barely keep my head above water. I have a sneaking suspicion that it will be this way for awhile. Ah, motherhood.
Happy 6-month birthday, Sebastian and Collette!!
So, what has changed in the past month? Well, the babies are now eating 2 *meals* each day and have tried lots of foods. Collette is trying to sit up and is close; Sebastian is still more interested in rolling and has actually gone from his back to his tummy at least once. I think he wants to be a tummy sleeper, like his mom.
As evidenced by my latest posts, sleep has been changing, too. They are now reliably sleeping through the night, with far less fussing when we put them down and usually no wake ups. If they do, its just a few minutes of light crying/fussing and back to sleep. Ironically, all this extra sleep for me (8 straight hours!!!!!!!!!!!!) has made me more tired...WTF?
Not sure yet on their "stats" because our Pedi appointment is not until Monday. But I'm sure they have been growing well and developmentally they seem on target. We'll see what the doctor says about all this and solid food, as we are still trying to get the hang of it.
And as always, here are their chair pictures. Collette was not too happy about taking this picture but Sebastian cooperated.
Happy 6-month birthday, Sebastian and Collette!!
I was tired for about a month after my boys started sleeping through the night. I think your body has to catch up.
ReplyDeleteHappy 6 months!!
They are so adorable! And time sure does fly! Mine just turned 7 months and I still can't get over the fact that she's already pulling up and trying to walk!
ReplyDeleteCutie pies! Happy half birthday, kiddos!
ReplyDeleteI also remember being suddenly more tired when they started sleeping through the night. I think it's probably that you suddenly allow yourself to feel more of the cumulative exhaustion from the previous six months. :-)
wow! Colie! 6 months! time flies. They are cuter than ever and i cannot wait to cuddle them with a VENGEANCE! love you! Kav
ReplyDeleteOh Nicole! They look so wonderful! I love it when they get all cute and padded out! I also went through the "Why am I more tired" all I can put it down to is the lack of adrenaline and stress hormones that have kept you going the last 6 months! There is a magical time coming up here soon where they can sit unassisted and play with a couple of toys...but aren't really mobile yet....enjoy:)
ReplyDeleteI just popped over from Twinspiration. Your twins are adorable! I have b/g twins who are just a little past two years old. I remember the 6 month mark as being a pretty big deal. That's about when I could officially say it started getting easier. And a LOT of fun. Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteHappy 6 months!
ReplyDeleteI also had the "more tired" - it's like you let go of survival mode or something.
ReplyDeleteHappy 6 months!!! Wow - when did THAT happen? :) I love the chair pictures :)
ReplyDeleteYea! Six months! I feel more tired now too...glad to know that I'm not alone! Your babes look so healthy and happy, congrats!
